ASK ABOUT
THEME/SCIENCE: For the past two short weeks we have been writing skits involving
our storyline characters. Each group chose an incident that could happen
up at Mt. Hood, and wrote a skit based on their character’s perspective.
We are now performing our skits in front of the class. Most of the incidents
involved some disaster; Crater Rock being dislodged, the Sandy River flooding,
Timberline Lodge being broken into, etc…
BOOK REPORTS: They are wonderful! We are presenting the book reports in
small groups. We have seen some very creative, inventive and informative
projects. Thank you for helping your child complete their book report on
time.
MATH: We are finishing our unit called Things That Come in Groups (multiplication
and division) and will be moving on to Flips and Turns, (Flips, Turns and
Slides with Shapes, Congruence and Area).
HOMEWORK: Homework will go home today and due on Wednesday, the 24th. Play
the math Array game with your family and continue to practice your facts
at home. I do not give homework out over the Thanksgiving holiday.
I’ll see you during conferences!
