LAND AND WATER

In the Land and Water unit, the class studies the effects of water on land forms. The students modelled land forms using the tubs shown, and studied erosion by taking a close look at what washed away with a stream of water. They worked on ways to prevent erosion. Students observed the pattern of stream beds as they formed with running water. They also modelled the water cycle by placing an ice block on plasic wrap suspended above their models. Water droplets formed and then dripped down to emulate clouds and rain.
