Though some of you have made plans for attending a particular Middle School, there is now the option of staying here and being part of creating an expanded CSS. The final decision on the proposal is set for May 1, 2006. We hope you will consider joining us for the Middle School years. CLASS NEWSWelcome back , I hope you all had a relaxing Spring Break. This past week we wrapped up our colonial Storyline Millbury. The students put the final touches on their topic books and disassembled the frieze. We began a new Math unit on probability called Between Never and Always. Look for examples of probability and chance that you can point out to your child. Next week is our final week with the Architect in the classroom and yesterday we started the final project, constructing colonial style model structures. There will be a display of all the projects from schools around Portland at the AIA Gallery opening May 4, 2006. I’ll have more info on that as the date draws nearer. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Greetings
CSS 5th grade parents. Sincerely, Mr. Ennis |
