During her time with us Turiya is showing the students a variety of ways to think about, have fun with and improve their writing. This residency is funded by the Community of Writers. Stop by the Display Case by the office to see the students’ beautiful colonial style paintings. The students should be working on their colonial I-Search reports. We talked about the reports and what is expected in them. Rough drafts are due Wednesday February 28th. CSS AUCTIONTickets for the Auction are on sale now for $38 per person. It begins with “Muffins for Mom & Donuts for Dad” at 9:00am and ends with an Assembly at 1:50pm. Throughout the day reading will be celebrated with; “Roving Readers”, All school silent reading and more. Don’t forget potluck tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Good food! Good company! And Fun Fun Fun!!! I recently sent home a forecasting page to help us plan for next year. Please fill it out and return promptly. FIELD TRIPSNext Tuesday we’re going to the Water Bureau Operations Building. Today we received instructions on how to collect water samples that we’ll bring with us. Your child will get the sample bottles and instructions on Monday. I appreciate your cooperation collecting these samples. The trip lasts most of the day so students will need a sack lunch.
